Under the kilt today is the industrial blue carpet at the San Marcos, Texas public library.

The much anticipated debut album - Another Road, Another Story - from the AWESOME group SOuLUTION came out yesterday, March 9, 2010.

If you've never heard SOuLUTION you are in for a treat!!!! The heartfelt lyrics, drawn from their life experiences, paint a picture of their journey thus far as artists and friends. I especially like the imagery of the line "....Watching the raindrops washing the people from the street..." from the song Sunset....the thoughts and exhortations to action of Renaissance or Revolution are spot on for today, and Alekona Surento's background vocals on Highlight are wonderfully soulful.

SOuLUTION at Friends Bar, Austin, Texas - Jada's Birthday

Under the kilt the other night was the wood floor of Friends Bar (208 East 6th Street

It was my friend Jada's birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JADA!!!!

SOuLUTION was rocking the house!!!! Here is their awesome cover of the Guns and Roses hit "Sweet Child of Mine" sung for Jada. If you haven't seen them yet, you need too!!!!

I would like to welcome you all to what I hope will be an informative and exciting review of the Arts Scene in Austin, Texas. My vision is to share with you all my take on things entertaining in and around Austin (and more than likely the world)...

I view this as an adventure and a fantastic opportunity to meet new people - artists, actors, musicians - and to also profile the magicians behind the scenes - the film and theater crews and techies, the venues and their owners as well as the staff, and producers and event planners - who bring to life events and help the artists share their offerings and visions of, and to, the world.

Many adventures await us, many roads will appear and many choices will be offered...shall we explore together this community?
